August 23, 09 State Fair Speedway
On Sunday we made are only stop to the great State Fair Speedway. I had a chance to sign some autographs for some fans that were coming to the races that night. We always like to do good for a home town crowd and started it off well with a heat race win by over a half a lap. The redraw did not work out in my favor drawling a 7 putting me inside of the fourth row. On the start my motor loaded up and it stumbled on the star causing me to lose about five or six spots. I end up making my way back up to 8th place. A little disappointed but we will come back next year to the State Fair Speedway and give it another try.
August 22, 09 West Plains Motor Speedway
The night started off pretty well running third in our heat race after having to start last. For the redraw to find out the line up for the feature I drawled a 5. That put me third row inside for the feature. I jumped into third place right on the start and held the spot for about five laps. Then I started making up ground. I past for second place And then went after first place, When I was just about to make my past for first the yellow came out. When we went back green my tire sealed over and lost second place to end up third in the feature.
August 3, Lake Ozark Speedway
This weekend Josh Fisher Racing took to the track once again at Lake Ozark Speedway. Great field of 27 cars showed up to do battle. I won the heat race and the dash. Started on the pole for the twenty-five lap A main. The green dropped and Jared Hull and I battled for a few laps. With him having the preferred line I had to fall back behind him. As the race progressed on I continued to run second and would end up staying that way for the remainder of the race.
July 26, 09 Double X Speedway
The night started off good with a third place finish from sixth place starting spot in the heat race. I had to start fifth row inside a little deeper in the field then I like to. When the green drop I remained patient and worked my way through the field to jump into second place with about six to go. I used the rest of the race to run down leader Randy Martin to only miss the win by a couple car lengths.
July 25, 09 Lake Ozark Speedway
Starting off the weekend with some bad luck at Lake Ozark Speedway. We ended up going through the fence in the heat race. My crew and I had to totally rebuild the car and got it done just in time for the feature. I started at the back and worked my way through the pack to end up eighth. Not a real good finish but we did finish so that is a plus.
July 23, 09 Bad Luck at 24 Raceway
Well the weekend was not what we hope for. We won are heat race and drawled outside front row for the feature. As I battled for the lead we had a caution on lap 7. When the green dropped I spun in turns 1 and 2. Restarting at the back of the field I was able to make my way to another top five finish. I am still leading the Winged Outlaw Warriors points by 66 points.
July 17, 09 Lake Ozark Winner
Josh Fisher Racing took to the track this past weekend at Lake Ozark Speedway in Eldon, Missouri. The night started off very well in hot laps by setting a new one lap track record of an average of 98 mph. As we moved on into the night we had to start second row inside of are heat and moved to the front and took the heat race win. Started on the pole of the dash I was also able to pick the win. By winning the dash that lined me up to start on the pole for the feature. When the green flag waved I got the jump and held on to win by over a half a lap. By winning this weekend we are ahead by 84 points in hopes to win again another Lake Ozark Speedway track championship.
July 3, 09 California Winner
Adding to his O’Reilly Auto Parts Winged Outlaw Warrior point lead, Josh Fisher scored his third win of the season at Double X Speedway Friday night.
Four-time defending WOW champion Randy Martin jumped out into the lead in his Diamond Pet Foods J&J as he was chased by Curtis Evans and Fisher. The action would come to a stop on lap two for a Frank Brown in turn two. Lap three would see Martin again jumping into the lead with Fisher taking second away from Evans. Evans would take second back on lap five as a yellow would come out for Tyler Blank, who spun between turns one and two. Martin again flew to the lead on the high side as Evans and Fisher gave chase. Lap eight would see the yellow fly again for Frank Brown, who spun off the track between turns one and two.
Martin would once again jump into the lead as Evans and Fisher continued to give chase. Lap ten would see Fisher, who was running the bottom, get by Evans. The next several laps would see Martin continuing to lead as Fisher started to reel in the leader. The excitement grew as a couple of laps the pair ran nearly side by side. On lap seventeen, Fisher went by Martin and into the lead as Martin stayed close to the new leader. After a yellow flag on lap eighteen, Martin changed his line and followed Fisher on the bottom and he made contact with the inside wall. The contact broke a radius rod on the left front ending Martin’s night on lap nineteen.
On the restart with a lap nearly completed, disaster would strike second-place Evans as he rolled to a stop in turn four with terminal engine problems. Fisher would again jump into the lead as Adam Jones, Evan Martin, Mitchell Moore, Rusty Potter, and Lanny Carpenter had a great battle for the next five positions over the last five laps. Fisher would go on to the win in his Impact Signs and Wraps/Ozark Barge and Dock Service Maxim with Singer power.
